Otis Rush (1934-2018) was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi. He is No. 153 on the Rolling Stone list of 250 Most Influential Guitarists.

Led Zeppelin covered Otis Rush’s 1950’s recording of I Can’t Quit You Baby virtually note for note on the first Led Zeppelin album (see the video below).

This CD features Otis Rush performing at Joe’s Place in Cambridge, Mass. on 4 May 1973.
