As one of Our Recommendations and Recommended Recordings, we recommend Disraeli Gears, by Cream

The 1960’s British supergroup Cream Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker) played a major role in exposing blues to a wider audience through covers of classic early blues songs like I’m So Glad (by Skip James) and Crossroads (by Robert Johnson).

Cream is mentioned on the Mississippi Blues Trail marker for Rosedale, in Rosedale, Mississippi.

Disraeli Gears does not contain any covers of classic blues but it’s a great album from a band which played a major role in exposing blues to a wider audience in the 1960’s.
