Along with classic Jack Bruce originals like White Room, Politician and Deserted Cities of the Heart, this album included covers of blues classics like the Mississippi Sheiks’ Sitting On Top Of The World, Albert King’s Born Under A Bad Sign, Willie Dixon’s Spoonful and Robert Johnson’s Cross Road Blues.

The Mississippi Blues Trail has placed a commemorative marker in Rosedale, Mississippi which mentions Crossroads, Cream’s cover of Robert Johnson’s Crossroad Blues.
